Oh hell ... I know what this means

100 days of Burpees(5372or so) are done!!! May the memory of my friends to whom they were dedicated to (Tavi, Benny and Abuelo Pepe) live on exponentially longer. Peace, Love and Burpees (but not this many)!!!

What's better?
A pound of burpees or a pound of thrusters?
Posted by: Rob S | Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 04:32 AM
If you asked me a year ago, I would have thought burpees were worse, by far ... now, I hate thrusters with a passion normally only reserved for DU's.
Heavy thrusters hurt like nothing else ... at least burpees never get heavier than your body weight. (This is not a challenge for you to somehow develop a weighted burpee.)

Thrusters are hell.

Ask again after a 2 week break from Burpees.
Posted by: Tony A. | Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 06:52 AM
I'll take thrusters over burpees but not b/c I like thrusters. It's more b/c I'm sick of burpees. I'll definitely be skipping all WODs for the next month that include burpees. I'm at 4,950 burpees and can't wait to finish the challenge this afternoon. Heard the WOD has a nice "in and out".

@Denise- Today's wod sucked, but what kusef described would have been much worse. I can deal with running; it's burpees that kill me.
@Rob- Burpees, I'm convinced were invented by Joseph Goebbels
You guys are hardcore... Posting on the CFG website at those ungodly times of the night.

Thrusters are the devil. No comparison.
Posted by: Diego | Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 07:33 AM
Id take Burpees all day.
The worst WOD Ive ever had the displeasure of doing is Century Thrusters. Its pure evil.
Posted by: DSG | Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 07:53 AM
Good god ... century thrusters ... I get sick just thinking about that f'n WOD.
Posted by: Jeremy | Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 09:07 AM
I recant my previous statement. Century Thrusters was possibly the most devastating WOD I've done.
Give me burpees over thrusters...Just not for a few weeks.

Frank, I believe the times noted in the message board are actually west coast (3 hrs behind). I'm guessing that's where the server must be.

so what is the WOD for today?
Posted by: carlosmanuel | Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 02:14 PM
27:20 ... I think ... had to scale down my burpees to a pushup/groiner thing, which I swear is actually harder than a regular burpee.

Good to know I'm pushing my brother as much as he's pushing me. As anyone who has ever done a Burpee can tell you...just 30-40 of those can help you simply break a sweat. You don't need the a box for that but I do remember something Gio said from 101 and I might be paraphrasing from selective memory: we don't expect you to do these excercises when you're in your 60's but we do want you to enjoy playing with your grandkids. Something to shoot for long ter. Right now improvement with benchmarks like kipping or cleaning heavier weights are front and center but it certainly helps having little brother to compare shoot for.
