Is the Burgener Jumps the jump squats? if so, will it be weighted? I would like to know so i can plan on running over or driving over...

Burgener Jumps is jumping over your partner unweighted

over 30 posts yesterday! awesome. lets see how many people we can have answer this question:
the feeling after a wod, do you like it more on wods you are good at and kill or on ones that are not-so-fun for you but you are proud you came in and went hard?
Posted by: Rob S | Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 08:21 PM
Thanks for clarifying Rob.
And to answer your QOD (Question of the Day,) for me, the best post-WOD feeling is the pain and soreness from doing a WOD (maybe even not finishing) that reveals my weak spots.
And I think that's one of the main elements that sets Crossfit apart from all other gyms/fitness programs; that the randomness of the Crossfit workouts exposes weaknesses and forces a person to work on those weaknesses constantly.
Just gotta give it your best everyday.

The ones i'm good at. I slack off on all the other ones so i wouldnt know the feeling.=)

Since I've only done five WOD's, I'd have to say I just like the feeling of completing a WOD...
Although I'd have to say yesterdays workout kicked my ass. I have a lonnnngggggg way to go.

QOD ... love it.
I love the feeling of crushing a WOD ... but at the same time, when I'm sucking, just finishing the WOD is probably an even greater accomplishment in my mind.

Woohooo, we have KB's and Abs today!!! Love it!!!! My post from yesterday worked! =) Can we start rowing again too? We haven't done that in a while as well. After yesterday's WOD I row'd 1000 mtrs and sweated like a biatch!!! Luv'd it though!!
BTW, love the soreness too!!

I'd say the longer and harder the WOD, the better. Yea it sucks before and during, but it's great afterward. There's nothing like paying to get your ass kicked! Keep up the great work.

the cf gods listened grethel!
oh jenn, hasnt smitty taught you anything ;)
i like the feeling of nailing a wod with a former weakness in it. such a great feeling of physically feeling how far youve come.
my first CF weakness was HSPU and after putting it in my warmup for a few months, i was able to nail them in a wod. and more recently, running wods like the Deadlift/Run one or the Thruster/pullup/run we did about a month ago. finishing those wods really well was such a great feeling

TANIA YOU ARE AWESOME, LOOK AT THOSE GUNS. LOVE IT :)

I would say there is more satisfaction when doing a "not so fun" WOD. I get to work on skills that are more challenging than others (box jumps or any kind of jumps for me). When I look at the progress, however small, it is a good feeling.

My favorite wods are the ones that leave you mentally destroyed the ones that have you second guessing yourself, wondering what the hell just happened, leave you not being able to think straight or even remember your name or what else you have to do that day. I'll take those wods any day over a PR.

Thats a tough one. Its fun to crush a wod youre good at but its an even better feeling to do a movement well for the first time.
Crushing wods you are good at isn't going to get you better in the long run if you dont try (and fail) at wods with movements you have trouble with. I try not to get too down on myself when I run face first run into a movement I suck at and use it as motivation. The games have provided a lot of "motivation"

today's wod was fun. 18:00
Posted by: carlosmanuel | Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 07:44 AM
Any WOD in which I can at least do the movements is rewarding when I give it my all.
The frustrating times are when a movement comes up that I just can't do. I'm not talking due to lack of effort or training but due to a lack of mobility. Example - OHS. I had added them to my warm-up routine for a while but soon discovered that due to the lack of mobility in my shoulders it just wasn't going to happen without fixing the problem area - and that is such an incredibly loooong and boring process it sometimes feels as if it's never going to happen.

Nice Shoulders Tania!!! Love it :-)

I'd go with the feeling after doing well on a WOD that you really hate. Can someone say, Century Thrusters. I've only done it once and it was hell on earth. But, I know we'll meet again at some point this year so bring it on Biatch!
BTW, I gotta say that not having to do 90+ burpees last night left a tiny little empty feeling in the very tip of my pinky toe. Thank God that masochistic challenge is over.

I love the feeling after I have done terrible in a WOD. I feel shitty and weak but that just motivates me to work on that specific weakness that I failed at until I'm comfortable with it.

Got talked into doing today's WOD with AJ somehow. I refused unless he went with the 75# KB and unfortunately he accepted the challenge, lol
18:44 with 75# KB. The rest Rx.
Was able to keep up with him until the goddamn Burgener jumps. That's when my lack of cardio kicked in and almost killed me.

P.S. there is nothing like training with someone that is better than you. Definitely gives you that extra push and motivation.
Posted by: Diego | Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 12:35 PM
It was an absolutely pleasure woding with you Diego.... definitely kept me on my toes!!!! Let's do it again soon, lol
